Reactive Acid Chemical (RAC) stain reacts with the minerals in your concrete to create rich, marbled, permanent color — no two floors ever look exactly alike.

Acid staining is the time-tested way to turn plain gray concrete into a warm, natural-looking surface with depth you can't fake. Because RAC reacts with the concrete itself, the color becomes part of the slab rather than a coating on top — so it won't peel or flake, and it develops the translucent, variegated character prized on patios, driveways, basements, and interior floors. Choose from earth-driven tones like Black Walnut, Rich Mahogany, Golden Sand, and Weathered. After the reaction is complete, neutralize with CR-585, remove all residue, and protect the color with a compatible interior or exterior sealer. New to acid staining? Do I have to neutralize after staining?

Yes. Neutralize with CR-585 Surface Neutralizer, then be sure to remove all residue before sealing so the sealer bonds properly.

How many coats or how much do I need?

Coverage depends on porosity; most projects use one to two applications. Order a little extra for testing and touch-ups.
