Start With a Clean Surface

Beautiful stained concrete starts before the color goes down. Proper cleaning and surface preparation help your stain penetrate, perform and look its best.

Degrease & Clean

CR-580 Degreaser

Remove dirt, oils, grease and surface contaminants. Stain cannot perform properly if contaminants are blocking the concrete's pores.

Prep & Etch

CR-765 Surface Prep & Etch

Prepare the concrete and open the surface so stain can properly penetrate and develop a more consistent finished appearance.

Neutralize

CR-585 Surface Neutralizer

Neutralize the surface after Prep & Etch and rinse thoroughly so the concrete is ready for the next step in your staining system.

Before you stain: Test the concrete with a small amount of water. The water should absorb into the surface rather than bead or sit on top. If it does not absorb, additional preparation may be needed.
