Which sealer should I use over stained concrete?
For most exterior stained projects, use CR-561 Outside Solvent Based Acrylic. For interior stained floors, choose a compatible interior acrylic or matte urethane based on the durability and appearance you need. Reactive acid stain projects may also use Nature’s Essence as the designated enhancement step before the compatible protective system.
Can I use an interior sealer outdoors?
No. Interior sealers are not formulated for exterior weather and UV exposure. Select a product specifically recommended for exterior concrete.
Should I choose acrylic, epoxy, urethane, or polyaspartic?
Acrylic is a thin-film, color-enhancing choice for many stained surfaces. Epoxy provides a higher-build interior coating and decorative base. Urethane adds abrasion and chemical resistance with a refined finish. Polyaspartic offers rapid curing and durable protection but has a shorter working time.
How many coats do I need?
Coat requirements vary by product, porosity, application thickness, and project system. Follow the product instructions and coverage rate rather than applying one heavy coat. Heavy application can trap solvent or air and create an uneven finish.
