CR-590 Paint & Sealer Remover embodies cutting-edge non-hazardous technology, meticulously developed over a decade to revolutionize the process of removing unwanted coatings from concrete surfaces. Designed for both interior and exterior applications, this powerful formula excels at breaking down the chemical bond between coatings and concrete, "lifting" away layers of paint, sealers, glues, and adhesives without the mess of traditional removal methods.
What sets CR-590 apart is its ability to maintain a clean application process, avoiding the emulsion of materials that often complicates restoration projects. Whether you’re dealing with thin layers of paint or stubborn, thick sealers, CR-590 delivers impressive coverage rates. On average, users can expect to cover approximately 200-400 square feet per gallon for thin coatings, while thick coatings, carpet glue, and adhesives yield about 100-200 square feet per gallon, making it adaptable for a range of difficult removal tasks.
Key features of CR-590 include a convenient 1-gallon container tailored for both novice DIY enthusiasts and seasoned professionals. Its non-hazardous composition means it can be used safely around residential and commercial spaces, instilling confidence in its application.
For optimal results, it’s important to consider various conditions that may impact coverage rates, such as temperature, humidity, and surface texture. Despite these variables, CR-590's advanced formula ensures effective results, dramatically simplifying the process of restoring surfaces to their original condition.
Whether you’re tackling a home renovation, preparing a space for fresh finishes, or removing stubborn adhesives, CR-590 Paint & Sealer Remover promises a reliable solution that prioritizes efficiency and safety. Transform your project with this unparalleled product and rediscover the beauty of your concrete surfaces.

Technical Data Sheet (TDS) CR-590 PAINT & SEALER REMOVER
Product
CR-590 Paint and Sealer Remover is the most effective non-hazardous solvent replacement chemical on the
market. With technology developed over a decade ago, CR-590 Paint and Sealer Remover is specifically
manufactured with the newest chemical technology products available, and designed in part by a group of
scientists that work in the major paint, coatings, ink and petrochemical industries. CR-590 Paint and Sealer
Remover is a versatile sealer and coatings remover that can also tackle glues and adhesives.
Capabilities
CR-590 Paint & Sealer Remover will remove:
• Paint (water and solvent based)
• Sealers (water and solvent based)
• Carpet Glue
• Mastic
• Adhesives
** Epoxy and Urethanes can be stripped using CR-590 – allow extra “wet” time.
Application Methods
• Roller
• Brush
• Pump Sprayer
Apply enough CR-590 Paint & Sealer Remover to completely wet the surface of the area to be stripped. Test
every 10 minutes to check if the material is lifting off the concrete. If the coating does not remove easily allow
more time for CR-590 Paint & Sealer Remover to soak in and loosen the coating. If areas begin to dry apply
additional material to keep the surface wet. It can also be helpful to keep CR-590 Paint & Sealer Remover wet
by covering it with 1 mil plastic sheeting.
Coverage
Rate of coverage can vary dramatically due to specific situations. Conditions which reduce the coverage rate
are: high temperature, low humidity, rough surfaces, and excessive material application.
o Thin coatings of paint or sealer - approximately 200-400 sq feet / gallon
o Thick coatings of paint or sealer - approximately 100-200 sq feet / gallon
o Carpet glue / Adhesives - approximately 100 sq feet / gallon
o Epoxies and Urethanes - approximately 100 sq feet / gallon
NOTE: If applying CR-590 to a very smooth surface (such as epoxy or urethane) it may be necessary to
“degloss” the surface prior to application to prevent the CR-590 from beading on the surface. “Deglossing” is
accomplished with a floor machine and a sanding screen or black pad.
Clean Up
Using a squeegee and/or wet vac collect and dispose of residue.
After removing the old coating, sealer, paint, glue, or mastic, spray a liberal amount of CR-580 Degreaser on
the floor and scrub with a floor machine (buffer) using a nylon bristle brush attachment, black pad, or sanding
screen. This process is imperative to remove residual oils and debris that may inhibit the ability of stain to react
or penetrate.
Disposal
Dispose of waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Storage
Do not allow to freeze.
Keep away from children.
Safety
Do not breathe vapors. When using in confined or limited ventilation areas, use appropriate respirator to
protect against breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin; wear protective gloves and clothing. Always use eye
protection such as goggles, face shield or safety glasses. Read Material Safety Data Sheet before using.
Caution
Eye and skin irritant
First Aid
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids open.
Seek medical attention.
Skin Contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Wipe excess from skin and wash with soap and
water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Seek medical attention.
