A floor that cannot be duplicated

What is metallic epoxy?

Metallic epoxy uses reflective Liquid Nebula pigment in a compatible clear epoxy coat to create flowing color, depth and movement. Each floor develops its own pattern as the material is spread and finished, so no two metallic floors look exactly alike.

It is an ideal finish for basements, showrooms, retail spaces, finished garages and statement interiors where the floor should be part of the design.

Choose your movement

Your color. Your technique. Your floor.

Start with one Liquid Nebula color for a refined look, or combine colors for more contrast and dramatic movement.

Calm + Coastal

Cool blues, silvers and soft movement create a polished, open feel.

Warm + Dramatic

Bronze, copper and deep earth tones bring bold warmth and rich depth.

Modern + Monochrome

Charcoal, silver and black create a refined finish with subtle movement.

Build the complete system

Beautiful metallic floors are built in layers.

Each layer has a job: give the coating something clean and sound to bond to, create the color foundation, build the metallic effect, then protect the finished floor.

  1. 01

    Prepare & profile

Clean, repair and properly profile sound concrete before coating. Existing paint, sealer, oil and contamination can prevent adhesion.

  2. 02

    Create the base coat

Build a uniform color foundation with CR-531 epoxy and the selected solid-color pigment. The base color helps set the mood of the metallic finish.

  3. 03

    Pour the metallic coat

Mix Liquid Nebula pigment into Extended Work Time Epoxy, then spread the coat at the specified film build. This extra working time lets you create the flowing movement metallic epoxy is known for.

    Protect the finish

Use a compatible High Gloss Urethane or Matte Urethane for added scratch resistance. A UV-protective topcoat is required when the floor receives sunlight.

Use the right tools

Tools that help create the effect.

Metallic epoxy moves differently than a thin coating. The right mixing, spreading and finishing tools make it easier to control coverage and build the look you want.

Helix Mixer

Mix epoxy and metallic pigment thoroughly while helping reduce trapped air.

View Technical Data Sheets
Can I use Liquid Nebula by itself?

No. Liquid Nebula is a metallic pigment that must be mixed into a compatible epoxy coat. It is not a stand-alone coating.

Why does metallic epoxy use Extended Work Time Epoxy?

Metallic finishes need time for the installer to spread the material, blend colors and create movement. Extended Work Time Epoxy gives more placement time for that process.

Will every metallic floor look the same?

No. Color selection, placement technique, working time and finishing tools all influence the movement and pattern. That is what makes metallic floors unique.

Does metallic epoxy need a topcoat?

A compatible urethane topcoat adds scratch resistance. If the floor receives sunlight, it needs a UV-protective topcoat because epoxy itself is not UV stable.
