Best for operators who want the flexibility to engrave while standing upright or remove the handle for low-profile cutting.

The handle attaches with two set screws and can be removed when you need a lower working profile or closer access in confined areas.

Every Mongoose X saw comes with a rugged hard-sided carrying case designed to help protect the cutting unit and keep its primary components organized.

A fitted foam insert holds the Mongoose X, motor, hose and related components securely in place. Egg-crate foam inside the lid adds cushioning when the case is closed.

Control Every Start and Stop

The spring-loaded cutting head gives the operator precise control over where each groove begins and ends. Press down to engage the blade, then release the pressure and the head lifts the blade out of the cut.

Depth can be adjusted while working. The fine-thread depth-control screw provides approximately 20 threads per inch for precise adjustments.

Follow Your Layout

Front and rear flip-up pointers help the operator align the Mongoose X with chalk lines and other layout markings. The open blade port also provides visibility near the blade while cutting.

Flip the pointers up and out of the way when working close to a wall or making reverse cuts.

Connect Dust Collection at the Source

The side-mounted vacuum port connects to an appropriate dust-collection system and helps collect concrete dust near the blade. Its position keeps the vacuum hose away from the primary cutting path.

Always follow applicable silica-dust safety requirements and use suitable personal protective equipment.

Choose the Groove Width You Need

The Mongoose X uses 3.1-inch premium diamond blades available in the following widths:

• 0.090 inch for narrow decorative lines

• 0.125 inch for standard grout-line effects

• 0.250 inch for wider decorative grooves

• 0.375 inch for bold accent lines

A 0.125-inch blade is included with either Mongoose X variant. Additional blade widths are sold separately.
