Routine Cleaning
1. Dust Mop Regularly
Remove loose dirt, dust, and grit with a microfiber dust mop or microfiber pad. This helps prevent dirt and debris from scratching or dulling the waxed surface.
2. Damp Mop as Needed
For routine cleaning, use Concrete Resurrection Clean Living Essentials Collection – Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner. This pH-neutral cleaner is safe for waxed floors and cleans without harsh chemicals that can prematurely dull or strip the wax.
Mix 4–6 oz of cleaner concentrate with 1 gallon of warm water and damp mop with a clean microfiber mop. No rinsing is necessary.
3. Avoid Harsh Cleaners
Do not use harsh chemicals, acidic or alkaline cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or aggressive scrubbing pads on your waxed floor. These can damage or remove the protective wax finish.
Removing Scuffs & Marks
Light scuffs and marks can often be removed simply by buffing the area with a clean, soft cotton cloth.
For larger areas, a low-speed floor machine with a soft polishing brush or pad can also be used to refresh the appearance.
Touching Up Dull or Worn Areas
You don't have to rewax the entire floor when only a small area begins to look dull or worn.
- Clean the area with Clean Living Essentials Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner.
- Allow the floor to dry completely.
- Apply a small amount of Concrete Resurrection Paste Wax with a clean, soft cotton cloth.
- Spread the wax into a very thin, even coat.
- Allow the wax to dry.
- Buff with a clean, soft cotton cloth until the desired sheen returns.
Easy DIY Maintenance
For most homeowners, maintaining a Paste Wax floor comes down to three simple things:
Microfiber dust mop regularly → Clean with Clean Living Essentials pH-neutral Floor Cleaner → Touch up and buff worn areas as needed.
Regular, gentle cleaning will help preserve the wax finish and reduce how often additional wax needs to be applied.
Concrete must be clean and free of dirt, dust, oil, grease, mold and mildew, and any other contaminants. Acid stained concrete must be neutralized, thoroughly cleaned, and dry prior to waxing.
